What is in a name?

Rudegirl's Aggro...what does that mean you're probably asking...well, let me explain.

When I was a teenager I got into the Skinhead/Punk rock scene (NO not ALL Skinheads are racist so please, before you get all judgy on me, do some research) and included within that is the subculture of Rude Boy's and Rude Girl's of the Ska and Reggae music scene. I love Reggae because it makes me feel relaxed and in a world so full of stress we all need something to unwind to. What attracted me to this sub-culture was the way they dressed and the music. I loved how there is no racism in this scene and whites and blacks could go to the same dance hall and have a good time together. I love the smart suits and the pork pie hats and I love the history behind the culture. There is just something so rich and cool about Jamaica and someday I hope to go there and experience it all first hand.

I loved the whole culture so much that I got a tattoo of a Rude Girl and from that someone who used to be in my life started calling me "Rude Girl".

So I just started using it ;)

Rudest Girl in Town

To me there is just something so cool about fishnets and boots...
I love the straight up style of the Rude Girl and how something so simple can look so edgy and smart...

I have always been a fan of black and white with a pop of one other color to set it all off. We are all about gangsters in my house and traditional "rude boy/girl" is clothing similar to that of the swing dancers of the 1940’s or that of the historic gangsters akin to Al Capone.

Aggro....
It's just what it sounds like, aggravated. It also describes a certain type of punk music.

We used to use this term a lot to describe being pissed off about something. Well, I tend to let things upset me pretty quickly (not a trait I am very proud of)so I combined the two together.

There is just something about the punk rock culture that drew me in and I fell in love with it. I don't know if it's the fashion or the attitude but it hooked me right away and I've never found anything about it I didn't like. The combination of ska, punk and reggae gives me a perfect balance of peace and chaos.

It just fits...
